It's hard to believe I've almost taught four full years of school already. And that my "Initial" certificate (for the first four years of teaching) has now been upgraded to a "Career Continuous Professional Certificate."
Here's to 4 years of experience....and 99 more to look forward to. Right?...

Why are they good for so long??
ReplyDeleteI don't know...lol....they used to just call them "lifetime" certificates, but apparently a few years ago they changed it to the CCPC name and made it good for only 99 years. I would like to see someone alive and having to renew theirs so they have to change the number of years to more than 99 one day...haha I bet by then they'd have to go on a month-by-month, graduated licensing system in case the person was senile! :) (P.S. - I'm not thinking I'll make that a goal of mine. If I'm alive and kicking at 126 years old, I think I'll retire and use my old age for something fun and exciting like climbing Mt. Everest, or sky-diving, or swimming the English Channel...LOL)
